COVID-19

A Message to our Diabetes Express Family

The health and safety of our team, our customers and their families is of our highest priority.

We as a business have always utilized proactive Infection Prevention and Control Practices (IPAC) to provide a high quality and safe environment for our customers and for the people who work here. As we continue to monitor the development of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) we wanted to take a moment to reassure you of our team’s unwavering commitment in continuing to provide high quality service.

Please see below some of the changes we have implemented to ensure the safety and protection of everyone during this difficult time.

Company-Wide business continuity leadership

We have established contacts with Provincial and National bodies and planning tables such as the Ministry of Health, Health System Emergency Management Branch; the Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC) and Home Care Ontario to receive and participate in regular communications. In addition, on January 27, 2020, we established a Bayshore COVID-19 Leadership group with leaders from Clinical Support, HR, Supply Chain, Health and Safety and IT as well as a cross-functional organizational working group.

Customer pick-up and onsite Ordering

We have temporarily suspended all non-essential visits within the facility including customer pick-up and onsite ordering. We strongly encourage our customers to continue to place any orders online at http://diabetesexpress.ca and to use the available courier delivery options.

Inventory

In order to ensure the continuity of our service we have done our best to stock up on all products that you may need and our working with our suppliers to ensure replenishment of stock. The stock availability and maximum order quantities may change from day to day.

Courier Services

To keep up to date with any changes in expected deliveries, we recommend that you check with the respective courier website At this time we are recommending Purolator as the best option due to major delays with Canada Post.

As we all navigate through this every evolving landscape, we’re doing our best to balance what is right for our teams, our customer, our partners and our communities.

Let’s continue to take care of one another and to move forward together.
